SALARY: Grade 1: R451 533 per year Grade 2: R553 545 per year (plus non-pensionable rural allowance of 12% of annual basic salary)

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum educational qualification: R425 basic qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing or equivalent qualification enabling registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a professional nurse and midwife. A post-basic qualification with a duration of at least one 1 year Diploma in Clinical Nursing Sciences: Assessment, Treatment and Health Care, accredited with SANC (R48) Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife Experience: Grade 1: Minimum 4. years of appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing Grade 2: A minimum of 14 years of appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing At least 10 years. of the period mentioned above must be appropriate/recognizable experience after obtaining the 1-year post-basic qualification as mentioned above. Job Requirements: Valid driver’s license (Code B/EB) and willingness to drive a mobile clinic. Willingness to work overtime when necessary and willing to work at other clinics in the Subdistrict. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Training or experience in NIMART. Basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies of the Western Cape Department of Health.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and provide comprehensive PHC clinical service. Plan and implement Health Promotion and Prevention activities in the establishment and the community. Linkage with community structures and NPOs. Collect data and submit reports on time or sooner. Manage human resources under supervision.
