MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirementsBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCMP, CSCP) preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and senior management.
Must have experience in the FMCG manufacturing industry
Proficiency in logistics software and systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) and MS Office suite.
Proven experience in logistics management, with a minimum of [3-5 years] in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of logistics operations, transportation modes, and supply chain best practices.
Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and increase customer satisfaction.
Cost Control: Analyze logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost savings through process improvements, route optimization, and negotiation with service providers.
Customs and Compliance: Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, including documentation requirements, tariffs, and trade agreements. Stay informed about changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments to procedures.
Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory. Implement systems for accurate tracking and reporting of inventory data.
Supplier and Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements. Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements as needed.
Supply Chain Management: Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.
Team Leadership: Manage a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and productivity.
Transportation Coordination: Coordinate the movement of goods, including scheduling shipments, selecting carriers, and negotiating contracts to ensure timely delivery while minimizing costs.
Warehousing and Distribution: Oversee warehouse operations, including layout optimization, storage organization, and order fulfilment processes. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
