We’re looking for a Network Engineer (Entry to Mid Level) who will enable us to build industry disruptive tech products and revolutionize the way our customers use technology.
The Network Engineer is responsible for assisting with the design and configuration of the network infrastructure and network security.
Ensuring that we have an excellent uptime with proper redundancy and partake in company projects ensuring the required network services are delivered timeously.
Job description
Responsibilities:
Assist with configuration and maintenance of regional and global Cartrack network infrastructure.
Assist with Network design, Planning and optimization.
Fault finding and resolution.
Network monitoring.
Network security – assist with configuring and maintenance of Firewalls.
Lifecycle management of all network and security devices and hardware.
Accountability for timely delivery on tickets and projects.
Preparing and updating network and security related documentation.
Ensuring uptime of network and preparation of RCA if outage occurs.
Management of WAN service providers.
Minimum requirements
Grade 12 Senior Certificate
Information Technology related qualification.
2 to 5 Years’ experience.
2 years in a production multi-site enterprise environment
Experience working with Network infrastructure for a large multinational.
including multi-county setup,
VLAN setup for regulatory requirements,
Benefit to have working knowledge of:
ARUBA Networking Equipment (HPE) and peripherals and Fortinet network communications technology.
High availability and disaster recovery architecture,
Exposure to ITIL concepts and adoption.
Experience with regulatory compliance issues, as well as best practices in network security.
