Job Overview
We are hiring two Picker and Packers to join our dynamic warehouse operations team in Kempton Park. If you’re detail-oriented, physically fit, and ready to be part of a high-performance logistics environment, this is your opportunity to get hands-on warehouse experience and grow your career.
Key Responsibilities
Picking
- Pick stock accurately based on customer picking slips
- Confirm quantity, colour, and product type during selection
- Record name, date, dimensions, and discrepancies on slips
- Report anomalies and update picking documents accordingly
Packing
- Pack goods into designated shelves or delivery areas
- Wrap and secure items per safety standards
- Prepare items for dispatch or transport
- Load products onto delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
Warehouse Assistance
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with storage protocols
- Unload/load deliveries and assist with stock receiving
- Accompany delivery drivers for off-site deliveries when needed
- Participate in inventory checks and stock counts
- Support operational flexibility by assisting in other departments when required
SHEQ Compliance
- Adhere to OHS Act and all company health and safety protocols
- Maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) use
- Report incidents, unsafe acts, and non-conformities immediately
- Help uphold hygiene and safety standards in all warehouse spaces
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
Experience
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent attention to detail
- Physical strength and stamina for lifting and manual tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Added Advantage for a Picker and Packer
- Valid Code 8 Driver’s License
- Valid Forklift License
