Exciting opportunity available for a resilient candidate who have previous experience as a Semi Skilled Fitter with traceable references
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Proof of Level 2 and 3 Modules plus relevant certificates
2 – 5 years’ relevant working experience in a similar role
Ability to work in a fast paced and pressured environment
Previous employers Certificate of Service
Previous mining experience will be an advantage
Replace chains and sprockets
Tension and align V-belts
Maintain gearboxes
Mount a bearing manually
Examine bearings
Mount a bearing mechanically
Remove and mount bearings fitted with adaptor sleeves
Set a drip feed lubricator
Pack a plumber block
Maintain valves
Overall a single-stage centrifugal pump
Maintain and align couplings
Excellent in building client relationships, communication and problem solving
Grade 12
OHSA knowledge
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The main purpose of the role is to assist in fabricate, fit, and assemble the structural components of various mechanical systems within a mining environment
Ensure efficient and effective day-to-day operations
Ensure over-all organisational compliance
Establish a positive, healthy and safe work environment in accordance with legislation
Monitoring day-to-day delivery of processes and services to maintain/improve quality
Planning, implementation and evaluation of the organization’s processes and services
