REQUIREMENTS: Minimum academic qualification: General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std 7). Experience: Appropriate trip and a terrific understanding of a Central Sterile Services Department. Inherent necessities of the job: Ability to talk in at least two of the three professional languages of the Western Cape. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of the Sterilisation process. Good interpersonal and numerical skills. The potential to work in a group surroundings and independently. Ability and willingness to easy and pack heavy equipment.
DUTIES: Deliver/collect dirty tools to and from the sterilization and more than a few different departments with a heavy-duty trolley, inclusive of associated responsibilities in the running theatres. Decontaminate, package, manage and sterilize instruments, and different gear in the department. Operate autoclaves and instrument washing machines. Issue sterile inventory in accordance with departmental needs. Fold and sterilize linen packs. Monitor, control, and hold inventory levels. Perform ad-hoc Duties: at Oral Centre, Mitchell’s Plain.
