Are you a graduate or Work Integrated Learning (WIL) student seeking real-world experience in your field of study? The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) invites all qualified and unemployed South African graduates to apply for its 2025–2027 Graduate Internship and WIL Programme.

Who Should Apply DHET Graduate Internship And WIL Programme?
This programme is ideal for:
- Recent graduates who have completed academic requirements for their field of study
- WIL students needing practical workplace experience
- South African citizens who are currently unemployed
- Candidates who have not previously participated in any internship or public sector graduate programme
Application Instructions
To apply, you must:
- Complete the new Z83 application form (effective from 01 January 2021) – Download Z83 here (DPSA)
- Attach a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Clearly state the field of study you’re applying for
- Quote the correct Reference Number from the internship advert

Important:
- Do not include certificates or supporting documents at this stage
- Submit a separate Z83 and CV for each field of study if applying to more than one
- Late or incomplete applications will not be considered
- Email and postal submissions are both acceptable, but email is preferred for faster processing

- This is a non-renewable, fixed-term internship
- Interns will undergo qualification, background, and reference checks
- Foreign qualifications must be verified by SAQA
- People with disabilities and individuals from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply
