Join Broll Property Group as a Skilled Handyman in Pretoria

Broll Property Group is seeking a dedicated Handyman to join our Willow Way Shopping Centre team in Pretoria. In this permanent role, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day building maintenance, preventive repairs, tenant support, and safety compliance within a fast-paced real estate environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Handyman, you will:

• Perform routine building maintenance and visual inspections
• Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests and supervisor instructions
• Repair electrical fittings, plumbing, lighting, doors, and building exteriors
• Check and maintain all equipment (e.g., air-conditioning, water pumps, fire systems)
• Follow health and safety protocols and ensure OSH compliance
• Assist with tenant installations and support move-ins/move-outs
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and complete work orders
• Communicate regularly with building supervisor and management
• Assist during emergencies and act up in the absence of the building manager

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Minimum Grade 10 (Standard Eight)
• Experience: At least 2 years’ hands-on maintenance experience
• Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Able to read technical documents or blueprints
• Knowledge:
  • Basic maintenance techniques (plumbing, electrical, structural)
  • Safety procedures and equipment handling
