About the Lorry Driver Position
The purpose of this role is to transport and remove materials while managing allocated vehicles, equipment, and personnel within Region 6 Community Services. Successful candidates will support municipal service delivery and environmental maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Lorry Driver, your duties will include:
- Transporting and removing materials in operational areas
- Operating municipal lorries and related equipment safely
- Supervising and managing personnel when required
- Ensuring proper use and maintenance of allocated vehicles
- Following Occupational Health and Safety regulations
- Assisting with environmental and maintenance services
- Supporting community service operations across Region 6
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the City of Tshwane Lorry Driver vacancies, applicants must have:
- Grade 10 qualification
- At least six months of relevant working experience
- Valid Code EC or EC1 driver’s licence
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
- Good physical fitness and health
- Ability to work shifts
