About the Programme (PPB Universal Banker Learnership)

Standard Bank Group, one of Africa’s leading financial services providers, is offering an exciting Learner: PPB Universal Banker Learnership across South Africa. This programme is designed for graduates who want to build a strong foundation in Personal, Prestige, and Private Banking (PPB).

Through structured training and workplace exposure, you will gain the knowledge, skills, and accreditation needed to become a Universal Banker. This includes everything from client onboarding and processing transactions to solving customer queries and delivering professional banking services.

By the end of the learnership, you will complete an Occupational Qualification in Banking, earn FAIS accreditation, and be fully equipped to pursue a career in the financial services sector.

What You’ll Learn

As a PPB Universal Banker Learner, you will:

  • Assist clients with everyday banking needs (account opening, debit order queries, retrieving statements, etc.).
  • Develop strong sales and service skills while building trusted client relationships.
  • Learn to identify customer needs and provide appropriate banking solutions.
  • Gain exposure to transactional processing, compliance, and fraud management.
  • Improve professional communication, including email and telephone etiquette.
  • Complete a banking qualification with FAIS accreditation.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this PPB Universal Banker Learnership, you must have:

  • Undergraduate Degree (any field).
  • A strong interest in the financial services and banking industry.
  • South African citizenship.
