About the Role (General Worker)

As a General Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth silo operations. You will be responsible for maintaining high hygiene standards, assisting with grain handling, and supporting maintenance functions. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates who are dependable, hands-on, and eager to grow within the grain sector.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Perform general cleaning of the yard, bins, containers, silos, buildings, and bunkers.
• Conduct pest control spraying in silo bins, machines, and storage areas.
• Assist with fumigation of bins and storage facilities.
• Handle bagging, storage, and monitoring of graded screenings.
• Support the loading and off-loading of grain (both bulk and bagged).
• Assist with basic maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
• Follow company safety, hygiene, and operational procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Grade 10 (National Senior Certificate will be an advantage).
• No prior experience required.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of the grain industry is an added advantage.
