This work-based learning programme combines on-the-job training with formal technical instruction, preparing you to become a qualified Mechanical Fitter while gaining invaluable workplace experience.
Position Purpose (Apprentice Mechanical Fitter )
The apprenticeship is designed to equip learners with both practical trade skills and theoretical knowledge under the guidance of qualified artisans. You will train to:
- Plan and prepare work sites, equipment, tools, and materials
- Use hand, power, and measuring tools effectively
- Install, assemble, fit, and maintain mechanical systems
- Inspect, commission, test, and repair equipment and assemblies
- Apply technical knowledge to ensure efficiency and safety
