Lindsay Saker VW Vereeniging is offering motivated candidates an Accredited Competency Based Modular Training (CBMT) Apprenticeship. This programme combines on-the-job training with structured classroom learning under the guidance of qualified motor vehicle mechanics.

Motus Technical Training Academy (MTTA) provides the theoretical, classroom-based education to help you gain the skills and certifications you need to build a successful career in the motor industry.

Programme Overview (Apprentice Motor Mechanic)

• CBMT & Learnership Contract: A CBMT contract with merSETA and a learnership contract with Lindsay Saker VW Vereeniging will apply.
• MIBCO Wages: Minimum wages for CBMT apprentices will be in line with MIBCO regulations.
• Duration: 4-year contract covering Levels 1–4.
• Training Cycle: 5 days of classroom training every 5 weeks at MTTA.
• Distance Learning (CDX): Interactive tutorials, quizzes, and practical exercises via web-based learning both at work and home.
• Assessment: Includes computer-based testing, examinations, and practical competency testing.
• On-the-Job Experience: Gain hands-on service department experience aligned with your training level, working alongside a qualified technician to inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles while compiling a portfolio of evidence as required by ITTA.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science, or
• N2 with Mathematics, Engineering Science, and English (50% minimum essential).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to pass a mechanical insight test.
• Willingness to undergo:
