Enaex Africa, a global leader in blasting services, is seeking a skilled Artisan Instrumentation Gr 1 to join our Operations team in Secunda, Mpumalanga. Purpose of the Role (Artisan Instrumentation Gr 1)

To maintain and repair plant machinery and instrumentation systems, ensuring continuous production, operational efficiency, and compliance with strict safety and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Planning: Understand and implement the unit operations plan, communicate key activities to stakeholders, and monitor daily progress.
• Performance Reporting: Track performance against targets, identify progress and challenges, draft and submit performance reports quarterly or as required.
• Policy Compliance: Stay up-to-date on company policies, attend training, and resolve queries promptly.
• Process Adherence: Maintain a strong understanding of operational processes, follow correct procedures, and address non-compliance swiftly.
• Instrumentation Installation: Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, install, align, and calibrate instrumentation accurately and on time.
• Maintenance & Repairs: Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Budget Management: Understand budget components, monitor expenditure, and ensure all spending is in line with policy and corrective actions are taken when needed.
• Safety, Health & Environment (SHE): Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of SHE standards, ensuring compliance at all times.
• Vendor Relations: Monitor service provider performance, ensure compliance with service levels, and implement corrective measures as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Trade: Red Seal Instrumentation Trade Test Certificate.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience:
  • At least 6 years in a chemical plant environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of instrumentation maintenance experience.
