Job Purpose (Artisan Diesel Mechanic 2025)

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing diesel machinery, vehicles, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This includes preventative maintenance, breakdown assistance, technical investigations, and ensuring compliance with SHE standards.

Key Responsibilities

As an Artisan Diesel Mechanic 2025, your duties will include:

• Maintaining and servicing diesel machinery, vehicles, and equipment.
• Diagnosing faults, finding solutions, and testing repairs within deadlines.
• Providing breakdown and roadside assistance at customer sites.
• Conducting preventative maintenance according to schedules.
• Ensuring required spares are available and stock levels maintained.
• Supporting technical investigations by identifying defects and proposing solutions.
• Monitoring and reporting on unit performance against targets.
• Ensuring compliance with SHE standards, policies, and processes.
• Managing expenditure in line with approved budgets.
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders and service providers.
• Actively contributing to the team and supporting Enaex’s values.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for Artisan Diesel Mechanic 2025, you must meet the following criteria:

• Matric / Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.
• Diesel Mechanic Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal).
• Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s license.
• 2–3 years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Knowledge of SHE practices and compliance standards.
• Strong problem-solving and technical diagnostic skills.
