We are currently looking for a skilled and dependable Handyman to join our Western Cape team and contribute to maintaining our facilities in Durbanville and surrounding areas.

Role Overview

As an AVBOB Handyman, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance to ensure AVBOB facilities are safe, functional, and welcoming. This position requires technical knowledge, practical skills, and a proactive approach to identifying maintenance needs before they escalate.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and appliance repairs across AVBOB Western Cape properties.
• Assist and report to the Foreman on all maintenance tasks.
• Manage and maintain personal toolbox and work/store areas.
• Collect materials from suppliers and transport goods as needed.
• Adhere strictly to occupational health and safety standards.
• Clean premises after maintenance work is completed.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the company.

Minimum Requirements For AVBOB Handyman

• Grade 10 certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a general worker/handyman.
• Willingness to work after hours and weekends when required.
• Solid knowledge in electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, construction, and appliance repair.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
