Job Opportunity: Casual Labourer at Agricultural Research Council (ARC)

The Agricultural Research Council – Natural Resources and Engineering (ARC-NRE) invites dynamic and capable individuals to apply for the role of Casual Labourer on a seven-month fixed-term contract in Silverton, Pretoria. If you’re hands-on, technically inclined, and committed to maintaining high standards in infrastructure upkeep, this opportunity is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on ARC assets and infrastructure
• Support the construction and upkeep of buildings, plumbing, electrical systems, and related structures
• Operate and maintain both manual and motorized tools and equipment
• Handle and process solid organic materials during storage
• Carry out repair projects based on internal job requests
• Comply with occupational health and safety standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Minimum Requirements Casual Labourer:

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification
• Experience in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) will be an advantage
• Ability to perform maintenance tasks in plumbing, electrical, building, and general repairs
• Physically fit and able to work in an outdoor environment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures
