Minimum Requirements

Applicants for the Cleaner Facility Management job must meet the following requirements:

• Passed ABET Level 4 or Grade 12
• Basic literacy skills
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Planning and organising skills
• Knowledge of cleaning materials (advantageous)
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (advantageous)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for general cleaning and hygiene services, including:

• Cleaning offices and buildings
• Emptying dustbins
• Dusting and polishing furniture
• Cleaning windows and walls
• Washing floors and vacuuming carpets
• Deep cleaning of toilets
• Refilling toilet dispensers with toilet paper and hand-washing soap
• Cleaning kitchen utensils
• Reporting defects identified during cleaning
• Alerting staff to slippery floors
• Offloading delivered materials
• Arranging and maintaining storerooms
