Minimum Requirements

Applicants for Cleaners Vacancies must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a South African citizen
• Must have no criminal record or pending cases
• Must be willing to undergo security vetting, fingerprint verification and screening
• Grade 10 qualification will be an advantage
• Basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills
• Ability to read and write
• Ability to operate basic cleaning machines and equipment
• Willingness to work extended hours when required
• Proficiency in at least two official languages, one of which must be English

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for the following duties:

• Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in offices and surrounding premises
• Performing routine cleaning tasks including:
  • Dusting and polishing furniture
  • Sweeping, mopping tiled floors and vacuuming carpets
  • Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and common areas
  • Removing refuse and waste materials
• Safekeeping and correct handling of cleaning materials and equipment
• Loading and unloading of goods when required
• Assisting with garden maintenance services
• Washing and cleaning state vehicles, kitchenware and utensils
• Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards
