Minimum Requirements
Applicants for Cleaners Vacancies must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have no criminal record or pending cases
- Must be willing to undergo security vetting, fingerprint verification and screening
- Grade 10 qualification will be an advantage
- Basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to operate basic cleaning machines and equipment
- Willingness to work extended hours when required
- Proficiency in at least two official languages, one of which must be English
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for the following duties:
- Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in offices and surrounding premises
- Performing routine cleaning tasks including:
- Dusting and polishing furniture
- Sweeping, mopping tiled floors and vacuuming carpets
- Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and common areas
- Removing refuse and waste materials
- Safekeeping and correct handling of cleaning materials and equipment
- Loading and unloading of goods when required
- Assisting with garden maintenance services
- Washing and cleaning state vehicles, kitchenware and utensils
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards
