SANRAL is seeking 38 experienced Contact Centre Agents to join its national team. If you have a NQF 5 qualification in Contact Centre/Customer Service and at least 3 years’ experience in a call centre environment, this is your chance to contribute to meaningful national projects including toll queries, pothole reports, and vendor support.

Minimum Requirements:

  • NQF 5 Certificate in Contact Centre or Customer Service
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a contact/call centre environment

Advantageous Experience:

  • Proficiency in CRM systems
  • Familiarity with contact centre systems like SMARTZ or Avaya

Technical Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of customer care best practices
  • Understanding of call handling metrics (AHT, FCR, SLA)
  • Skilled in ticketing and CRM platforms, including case logging
  • Awareness of data accuracy, POPIA compliance, and confidentiality protocols

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Engagement:

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and digital queries
  • Offer prompt and professional responses across all SANRAL projects
  • Follow standard operating procedures and service protocols

2. Operational Duties:

  • Accurately log and track cases using internal systems (e.g., SMARTZ, CRM)
  • Provide Tier 1 (First Contact) resolution
  • Escalate unresolved issues and ensure proper feedback is given
  • Conduct proactive outbound campaigns and data capturing
  • Support testing of new processes and contribute to Knowledge Management

3. Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly ticket volumes, trends, escalations, and system compliance
  • Maintain SANRAL’s service standards and reputation
