Tiger Brands, one of South Africa’s leading FMCG companies, is seeking a Driver and Salesman (Code 14) to join the team in Randfontein. This role combines safe and efficient bread deliveries with customer-focused sales support, ensuring smooth operations across bakery routes.
Role Overview (Driver and Salesman)
You will be responsible for inter-bakery deliveries of bread, ensuring timely, accurate, and safe transportation while maintaining strong customer service and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate the delivery vehicle in compliance with traffic laws
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects using the official checklist
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Oversee and guide Van Assistants, escalating performance issues if needed
- Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, uniform, and delivery departure times
- Notify supervisors of any delays or route challenges
- Identify sales opportunities on route and share with Sales Representatives
- Monitor stock levels, perform checks before departure, and secure cash according to SOP
- Collect Proof of Delivery (POD) and ensure accurate stock and basket flow records
- Report deviations, suspicious activity, or issues promptly

Qualifications & Skills
