Food Service Aid – Department of Economic Development and Tourism (Mpumalanga)

The Mpumalanga Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDT) is hiring a dedicated Food Service Aid (Ref No: DEDT 2025/26/13) for the Office of the MEC at Head Office in Mbombela.

This role ensures cleanliness, kitchen support, and catering services for the MEC’s office and meetings.

Salary

• R138 486 per annum (Level 02)

Requirements

• Grade 10 qualification
• 1 year of relevant work experience

Duties

As a Food Service Aid, you will:

• Clean the MEC’s office and support staff offices
• Ensure all kitchen utensils and equipment are kept clean
• Maintain an updated inventory of kitchen utensils and equipment
• Apply strict hygiene and protective measures in the workplace
• Remove rubbish and ensure proper waste disposal
• Prepare and serve food, snacks, and beverages (water, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, drinks) for MEC’s meetings
