Security Officer Vacancies – DOJ&CD

The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (DOJ&CD) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for Security Officer (X4 Posts) positions at Magistrate Offices in the Eastern Cape and Limpopo.

Salary

• R163 680 – R192 810 per annum
• Successful candidates will be required to sign a performance agreement.

Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification
• Knowledge of Physical Security procedures and processes
• Familiarity with Safety and Security Legislative Frameworks
• PSIRA Grade C certification

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Good problem-solving ability
• Planning and organising skills
• Computer literacy
• Ability to operate security equipment
• Good interpersonal relations
• Understanding of confidentiality in government

Duties

As a Security Officer, your responsibilities will include:

• Controlling access to the building and premises
• Enhancing safety and security of staff and visitors
• Prohibiting unauthorised items from entering/leaving the premises
• Monitoring CCTV cameras
• Enrolling staff on the biometric access system
• Assisting with weekend staff access when required
