The Department of Health and Wellness plays a central role in providing quality healthcare services to communities across the Western Cape. To strengthen its service delivery, the department is now seeking dedicated individuals to join the team at Brewelskloof Hospital in the Cape Winelands District as General Worker Stores.

This post is an essential support role that ensures proper handling of stock, supplies, and assets within the hospital, directly contributing to effective patient care and operational excellence.

Position Details (General Worker Stores)

• Job Title: General Worker Stores
• Salary: R138 486 per annum
• Centre: Brewelskloof Hospital, Cape Winelands District
• Closing Date: 10 October 2025

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience: Previous experience in a stores environment.
• Inherent Requirements:
  • Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Skills & Competencies

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Accuracy in handling stock and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of basic asset management procedures and stock rotation methods.

Key Duties

• Assist the Provisioning Clerk with the handling of stock and assets, including asset management.
• Receive, issue, and rotate stock (first in, first out method).
• Deliver inventories and assets to end-users using a government vehicle.
• Perform messenger duties between stores and other departments when required.
• Maintain cleanliness in stores and other non-storage areas.
• Provide support in other stores as needed.
