With a 125-year legacy of empowering communities, Metropolitan provides affordable financial solutions, including funeral cover, savings, retirement planning, health and life insurance.

This 12-month Wealth Management Learnership starts in October 2025 and is the perfect opportunity to gain valuable experience, obtain a recognised qualification, and begin a career in the insurance industry.

Learnership Purpose

This programme gives unemployed youth the chance to:

  • Obtain a Wealth Management NQF Level 4 qualification
  • Gain hands-on experience in insurance, sales, and customer service
  • Work with experienced professionals in a supportive learning environment

Minimum Requirements

To apply for the Metropolitan Learnership, you must:

  • Have a Grade 12 / NQF4 qualification
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Be a South African citizen by birth
  • Be unemployed at the time of application
  • Belong to a previously disadvantaged group
  • People with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete all theoretical learning and assessments on time
  • Manage administration and reporting duties accurately
  • Prepare, collate and distribute documents professionally within set deadlines
  • Attend to client queries professionally, ensuring excellent client service
  • Screen, route, and assist with query resolution effectively
  • Maintain office housekeeping standards

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Good numerical reasoning and analytical ability
  • Fluent verbal and written English communication
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management
  • Computer literacy is essential
