About the Opportunity (Mintek Work Integrated Learner)

Mintek, South Africa’s national mineral research organization, is offering an exciting Work Integrated Learner Internship 2025 at its Randburg offices. This opportunity is designed for students in Electronics or Electrical Engineering who are completing their in-service training (S4/S5).

The programme provides hands-on exposure within Mintek’s technical divisions, allowing learners to apply their academic knowledge in real-world projects.

Minimum Requirements

Mintek Work Integrated Learner Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a South African citizen.
• Have completed S4/S5 in:
  • Electronics Engineering, OR
  • Electrical Engineering.
• Subjects must include Digital Control Systems and Process Instrumentation.
• Maintain an academic average of at least 60%.
• Strong skills in:
  • MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Numerical and analytical abilities.
  • Communication and attention to detail.
• Must be willing to undergo psychometric testing.
