About the Role (QA Monitor Internship)
As a QA Monitor Intern, you will play a key role in ensuring adherence to Rainbow’s Total Integrated Management System. You’ll gain practical experience in quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance within the poultry processing industry.
Key Responsibilities
During this QA Monitor internship, you will:
- Monitor product quality by observing processes and completing quality check sheets.
- Conduct tests and inspections on poultry products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Identify deviations and recommend corrective actions to the relevant departments.
- Follow up on corrective actions and escalate unresolved issues.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, and HACCP standards throughout production.
- Assist in regulatory, customer, and internal quality audits.
- Prepare reports and graphs for management review and audits.
- Promote good housekeeping practices and contribute to a culture of food safety.
Minimum Requirements
- Completed Matric.
- Overall academic average of 60% or higher.
- Poultry Meat Examiners/Inspectors Certificate (advantageous).
- Literacy, accuracy, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Integrity, assertiveness, and attention to detail.
- Preferably reside in the Western Cape.
