Dis-Chem Pharmacies is offering an exciting Retail Cosmetics Learnership (NQF 3) for passionate, customer-focused individuals looking to build a career in beauty, cosmetics, and retail sales. This learnership combines hands-on training with classroom-based learning to prepare you for a successful career in retail.

Minimum Requirements

• Essential:
  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Willing and able to work retail hours
  • Computer literacy (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Advantageous:
  • Previous experience in a beauty, cosmetics, or retail environment

Key Responsibilities

Stock Control

• Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and report damaged/expired items.
• Restock shelves and maintain storeroom organization.
• Adhere to Dis-Chem stock rotation procedures.

Merchandising

• Maintain attractive displays and store cleanliness.
• Demonstrate products through makeovers and promotions.
• Correctly price and label all goods.
• Assist with stock loading/off-loading when required.

Customer Service

• Provide friendly and professional assistance to all customers.
• Process payments at the Cosmetics Department POS.
• Resolve customer queries and recommend products.
• Work towards achieving sales targets for brands within the department.

• Knowledge of sales, promotions, and merchandising
• Trustworthy, honest, and self-managed
• Basic financial and computer skills

Special Conditions of Employment

• Must be a South African citizen
• Clear criminal and credit record (MIE checks)
• Willing to work retail and flexible hours
