Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this Security Officer Vacancy, applicants must have:

• Educational Qualification: Grade 10 (ABET Level 2)
• Experience: Relevant security-related experience
• Licenses/Registrations:
  • Basic Security Course registered with PSIRA
  • Driver’s license (advantageous)

Key Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of the Access to Public Premises and Vehicle Act
• Understanding of security procedures, emergency protocols, and legislation (e.g., MIS, NISA, Protection of Information Act)
• Knowledge of access control, movement of equipment, and stores
• Batho Pele Principles knowledge
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Client service and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Basic computer and facilitating skills

Duties & Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Vacancy, your role will include:

• Performing access control functions at the court premises
• Preventing unauthorized removal or entry of equipment, documents, and stores
• Operating control room security equipment
• Ensuring safety and security of staff, visitors, and the building
• Recording all security-related incidents in occurrence books/registers
