Minimum Requirements

Applicants for the Senior General Foreman Cleaning Services job must meet the following requirements:

• Passed Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or ABET Level 4
• Computer literacy
• Cleaning supervisory experience
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Basic numeracy skills
• Good interpersonal and administrative skills
• Basic knowledge of cleaning services and housekeeping
• Knowledge of cleaning materials and chemicals
• Exposure to chemicals, cleaning chemicals, and hazardous working conditions
• Ability to write reports

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising and managing cleaning services, including:

• Managing and controlling cleaning equipment and materials
• Ensuring repair or replacement of faulty or outdated equipment
• Ordering, receiving, and distributing cleaning materials and supplies
• Ensuring safe storage of cleaning materials and equipment
• Supervising housekeeping, cleaning, safeguarding, and maintenance services
• Conducting physical inspections of cleaned areas
• Inspecting logistics and physical environments to ensure cleanliness
• Ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards
• Providing general supervision and administrative support
• Assisting with discipline management, timekeeping, and records management
