About the SHE Learner Role

Weir Minerals South Africa is seeking motivated and dedicated individuals for the SHE learner (Safety, Health, and Environment) Learner programme. This learnership is designed to develop a sustainable pipeline of skilled SHE professionals and improve occupational health and safety standards across our operations in Johannesburg, Alrode, Isando, and Port Elizabeth.

Key Responsibilities

As a SHE Learner, you will:

• Receive on-the-job training to support the improvement and sustainability of the Africa SHE Management System.
• Perform administrative duties, including document control and updating SHE documentation in line with ISO standards and Weir Group requirements.
• Coordinate and maintain SHE electronic management systems for documentation and data input.
• Promote Zero Harm behaviours, supporting our world-class safety culture.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

• Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematical Literacy.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to workplace safety and continuous learning.
