About the Learnership (AVBOB Long-Term Insurance Learnership)

AVBOB, in partnership with the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA), invites unemployed South African youth to apply for the Long-Term Insurance Learnership Programme 2025/2026.

This 12-month NQF Level 4 Learnership offers a blend of accredited classroom training and hands-on work experience, providing learners with the skills and knowledge to kickstart a career in the insurance industry.

AVBOB Long-Term Insurance Learnership Programme Details

• Duration: 12 Months
• Qualification: NQF Level 4, 140 Credits
• Location: Bela-Bela and Montana Life Offices
• Stipend: Market-related monthly allowance
• Training Provider: Accredited by INSETA

Learners will gain practical experience in insurance operations, customer service, and administrative support, helping them build a foundation for long-term success in the financial services sector.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must:

• Be willing to work at either Bela-Bela or Montana Life Office.
• Hold a valid Matric certificate with English and Maths / Maths Literacy / Accounting.
• Be between 18 and 35 years old.
• Be unemployed and not enrolled in another learnership or study programme.
• Have good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Possess basic computer skills (MS Office, email, and internet).
• Be a South African citizen.

Note: Preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates from previously disadvantaged groups in line with AVBOB’s employment equity policy.
