ADvTECH’s Emeris division invites aspiring graduates to apply for the IT Intern (Fixed-Term Contract) opportunity based at the Sandton Campus. This internship offers hands-on experience in IT support within South Africa’s leading private education group — combining theory, technology, and real-world practice.

Emeris integrates expertise from IIE Varsity College, IIE MSA, IIE Vega School, and IIE School of Hospitality & Service Management, ensuring top-tier training and student support excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lecture Room & Hardware Support

• Provide first-line support for computer and lecture venues
• Maintain operational readiness of classrooms, projectors, and printers
• Ensure all ICT environments are neat, functional, and compliant
• Assist users with desktops, laptops, copiers, and other peripherals
• Set up and troubleshoot projectors and wireless connections

Software Support

• Install and update user software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
• Maintain software licensing documentation
• Provide support for software-related issues

Administration & Documentation

• Log and track IT issues via the Service Desk
• Update hardware and software asset registers
• Prepare photocopier and telephone usage reports
• Support general ICT administration and record management

Development & Growth

• Shadow senior ICT staff for mentorship and skills development
• Learn server maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
• Participate in continuous IT learning and support initiatives

Minimum Requirements

• Qualification:
  • Higher Certificate / Occupational Certificate Level 5 (NQF Level 5)
  • A+ / N+ certification (advantageous)
• Experience:
  • No experience required — ideal for recent graduates
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
