About the Role (Messenger Job)

The Office of the Chief Justice (OCJ) is seeking a reliable Messenger (Ref No: 2025/256/OCJ) to join the Supreme Court of Appeal in Bloemfontein. This role offers a salary between R163 680 – R192 810 per annum (Level 03) and the chance to play an important part in supporting court operations.

Key Responsibilities

In this Messenger Job role, you will be expected to:

• Collect post from the Post Office and distribute to relevant offices.
• Handle urgent and hand-delivered post/files within the department.
• Deliver outgoing post and files to the Post Office and external offices.
• Drive court vehicles and transport officials as required.
• Maintain a register of post/files distribution and safeguard correspondence.
• Perform general office assistant tasks.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants for Messenger Job must have:

• Grade 10 or ABET Level 2 certificate (Grade 12 is an advantage).
• Valid driver’s license (PDP will be an added advantage).
• Computer literacy (MS Office).

Skills and Competencies:

• Good communication (written and verbal).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good interpersonal relations and work ethics.
