About the Packaging Learnership

Dreaming big is part of our DNA. This Packaging Learnership offers unemployed South African youth an opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while earning practical workplace experience in the food and beverage manufacturing environment.

Successful learners will sign a 12-month fixed-term contract and complete both on-the-job and off-the-job training, leading to a SAQA-accredited National Certificate in Food and Beverage Packaging (NQF Level 3).

Learnership Structure

This structured learnership programme includes:

• Integrated on-the-job and off-the-job learning
• Practical workplace exposure aligned with theoretical training
• Training based on SAQA-registered unit standards
• Continuous workplace assessments using approved assessment criteria
• Development of value-adding, job-ready packaging skills

Upon successful completion, learners will receive a national qualification registered on the NQF.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Packaging Learnership, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate
• Mathematics and English passed
• Technical qualifications (N3, N4, N5 or N6) will be an added advantage
• Self-motivated and eager to learn
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
