Key Responsibilities

Messenger Services

• Collect and deliver official documents and packages on schedule.
• Maintain accurate logs and obtain delivery confirmations.
• Sort items by route for delivery efficiency.
• Ensure secure transport of documents and equipment.
• Liaise between delivery and destination points professionally.

Administration Support

• Assist with archiving and records management.
• Ensure proper document classification, indexing, and storage.
• Monitor postal services and internal deliveries.
• Handle document binding and copying requests promptly.

Transportation Duties

• Load/unload goods and staff materials securely.
• Safely operate assigned vehicles, adhering to traffic regulations.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Report delays, faults, and incidents immediately.

Mail Processing

• Receive, stamp, and sort incoming/outgoing mail.
• Track and prepare registered/Docex mail for dispatch.
• Record transactions, including monetary receipts.
• Maintain clean, organized mail systems.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications for Raf Driver Messenger

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
• Valid Code 10 (EC1/EC) driver’s license
• Valid Professional Driver’s Permit (PrDP)

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year in a driving/messenger environment

Competencies and Skills

• Route planning and time management
• Knowledge of transporting people/goods safely
• Mechanical and electrical fault reporting
• Communication and recordkeeping
• Integrity, ethics, and client service orientation
• Physically fit with sound road safety awareness
