Security Officers Job Overview

SANEDI is seeking two qualified and experienced Security Officers / Drivers to provide protective and driving services at its Sandton offices. This role is crucial to maintaining the safety and security of SANEDI’s facilities, personnel, and assets. Candidates must have a valid firearm license, Grade C or B PSIRA registration, and a valid driver’s license with PDP.

You’ll serve as a visible deterrent to criminal activity, respond to emergencies, monitor premises for suspicious behavior, and provide safe transport support when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure security of all SANEDI facilities, staff, and visitors
• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or potential hazards
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems
• Provide rapid and appropriate response to emergency situations
• Control access to facilities and conduct security checks
• Report incidents and maintain accurate records
• Provide safe and efficient driving services for official duties
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, logbooks, and schedule maintenance
• Support internal safety protocols and emergency evacuation plans

Minimum Requirements for Security Officers

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• PSIRA-registered Grade C or B Security Certification
• Must own a licensed firearm
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the security industry
• Valid Code B Driver’s License with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
• Clean criminal record (will be verified)
• Basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel)
• Advantage: Safety or Emergency Response Training

• Understanding of road safety, driving regulations, and routes
