Security Officers Job Overview
SANEDI is seeking two qualified and experienced Security Officers / Drivers to provide protective and driving services at its Sandton offices. This role is crucial to maintaining the safety and security of SANEDI’s facilities, personnel, and assets. Candidates must have a valid firearm license, Grade C or B PSIRA registration, and a valid driver’s license with PDP.
You’ll serve as a visible deterrent to criminal activity, respond to emergencies, monitor premises for suspicious behavior, and provide safe transport support when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure security of all SANEDI facilities, staff, and visitors
- Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or potential hazards
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems
- Provide rapid and appropriate response to emergency situations
- Control access to facilities and conduct security checks
- Report incidents and maintain accurate records
- Provide safe and efficient driving services for official duties
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, logbooks, and schedule maintenance
- Support internal safety protocols and emergency evacuation plans
Minimum Requirements for Security Officers
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- PSIRA-registered Grade C or B Security Certification
- Must own a licensed firearm
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the security industry
- Valid Code B Driver’s License with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
- Clean criminal record (will be verified)
- Basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel)
- Advantage: Safety or Emergency Response Training

- Understanding of road safety, driving regulations, and routes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
