We are seeking a General Worker Cleaner to join our Production Offices and Parent Seed Cleaning Facility in Oudtshoorn.

Job Purpose (General Worker Cleaner)

The General Worker Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, ensuring a safe working environment, and supporting operations by assisting with various housekeeping and facility management duties.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Housekeeping

• Sweep and mop production offices and parent seed factory daily
• Clean offices, canteen, ablution blocks, and factory areas as per schedule
• Perform scrubbing and deep cleaning when required

Stock Control

• Monitor and manage cleaning materials and supplies
• Report shortages in advance to avoid stockouts

Values & Ethics

• Support department performance through professionalism and integrity
• Communicate courteously with leadership and colleagues
• Maintain composure under pressure and act on constructive feedback
• Uphold high standards of energy, enthusiasm, and responsibility

Occupational Health & Safety

• Comply with all Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements
• Report safety concerns to Supervisor or Safety Representative
• Maintain clean and organized workstations

General Duties

• Assist co-workers when tasks are complete
• Move furniture and equipment to clean work areas
• Ensure compliance with company security measures
• Represent the company positively through responsible and professional conduct

Skills & Competencies

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness
• Physical ability to move tables, cupboards, and equipment when needed
• Professional, courteous, and reliable
• Ability to prepare tea/coffee when required

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) – Essential
• At least 1 year of cleaning experience
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices (advantageous)
